A loft pod — sometimes called a box dormer pod — is a modular or semi-modular extension to a roof that creates a defined additional space without a full loft conversion. Extension pods can be constructed at ground floor level as an alternative to a conventional single-storey rear extension. Both approaches offer specific advantages in the right circumstances.
