Every Prime Loft conversion carries a 10-year structural warranty backed by independent insurance — not just our promise.
Every Prime Loft conversion carries a 10-year structural warranty backed by an independent insurance company. This is a critical distinction: your protection does not depend on Prime Loft remaining in business. The warranty is a legal contract between you, the homeowner, and the insurer.
The warranty is also transferable to future buyers of your property, which actively adds to its market value and makes it demonstrably easier to sell. Solicitors and mortgage lenders recognise independent structural warranties as standard.
All structural elements of the loft conversion — steelwork, timber frame, load-bearing connections, new roof structure — are covered against structural failure for 10 years.
The warranty covers defects in the weatherproofing of the conversion — including dormer cheeks, flat roof covering, flashings and window sealants.
The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by the homeowner or third parties, cosmetic defects that do not affect structural integrity, or defects arising from alterations made after completion.
The warranty is fully transferable to future buyers of your property at no additional cost. Simply notify the warranty provider of the change of ownership.
Prime Loft Ltd maintains the following insurance cover on all active projects. Certificates are available on request from your project manager.
Covers claims made by third parties — including you as the homeowner — for property damage or personal injury caused by our works.
Covers claims made by our employees and operatives for injury or illness sustained in the course of their work on your project.
Covers claims arising from errors or omissions in our professional design and engineering services, including any financial loss resulting from design defects.
The 10-year structural warranty is issued by an independent insurance company — not by Prime Loft. This means your cover continues regardless of what happens to Prime Loft as a business. We will provide the insurer's name and policy documents before you sign your contract.
Yes — the warranty is fully transferable to future buyers at no additional cost. This is a significant selling point: many buyers and their solicitors specifically ask for structural warranty documentation on extended or converted properties.
Absolutely. We provide certificates for all insurance policies on request, either at the survey stage or before exchange of contracts. We would encourage you to request them.
Claims are made directly to the warranty insurer — not through Prime Loft. Your warranty document contains the claim procedure and insurer contact details. We will, of course, assist with any claim and investigate any issues on our completed work.
No obligation. Fully itemised fixed-price quotation within 48 hours.
